# Sign in, sign out, and recover your SATN account access

> Learn how to log in with your document number and password, what to do when credentials fail, and how to recover a forgotten password in SATN.

SATN uses a document number and password to identify you. Your account is created by your organization's administrator, who provides your initial credentials. This page explains how to sign in, what to do if your credentials are not working, and how to recover access when you have forgotten your password.

## Signing in

Open SATN in your browser. The login page loads automatically at the application's root address.

1. Enter your **document number** in the first field.
2. Enter your **password** in the second field.
3. Click **Ingresar**.

On success, SATN takes you to the **Dashboard**, which shows your account summary including total customers, customers added this month, and the total number of products across all types.

### If your credentials are not working

* Make sure you are entering your document number exactly as registered — no spaces or punctuation.
* Check that Caps Lock is off when entering your password.
* If you recently changed your password, use the new one. Browser autofill may be supplying an old value.
* If your account was created by an administrator, confirm with them that the account has been activated and that you have the correct document number on file.

If none of the above resolves the issue, use the password recovery flow described below.

## Recovering your password

If you have forgotten your password, follow these steps to set a new one. You will need access to the email address registered on your account.

    On the login page, click **¿Olvidaste tu contraseña?** below the login form. This opens the password recovery page.

  <Step title="Enter your registered email address">
    Type the email address associated with your SATN account and click **Enviar código**. SATN sends a recovery code to that address.

    <Note>
      If you do not receive the email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. The message comes from the SATN application email address.

  <Step title="Enter the recovery code">
    Open the email and copy the recovery code. Return to SATN — you should now see the code entry form. Paste or type the code and click **Verificar**.

    <Warning>
      Recovery codes expire after a short period. If the code is rejected, return to the previous step and request a new one.

  <Step title="Set a new password">
    After the code is verified, SATN shows the new password form. Enter your new password, confirm it in the second field, and click **Actualizar contraseña**. SATN updates your credentials and redirects you to the login page.

    <Tip>
      Choose a password that is at least eight characters long and includes a mix of letters and numbers. Avoid reusing a previous password.

    Return to the login page, enter your document number and new password, and click **Ingresar**.

## Signing out

To end your session, click your account name or the sign-out option in the application navigation and select **Cerrar sesión**. SATN logs you out and returns you to the login page.

  SATN does not currently offer automatic session expiration reminders. If you use a shared or public computer, always sign out manually when you finish your session.
