A combo product represents a bundle or assorted pack made up of two or more existing unitary products. Rather than entering a new ingredient list, you select from the unitary products you have already created. SATN calculates the nutritional table for the combo by averaging the nutritional values across all selected component products.

When to use a combo product

Use a combo product when you are packaging multiple finished products together as a single commercial unit — for example, an assorted snack pack with three different flavors, a gift set containing separate items, or a multi-product portion pack. Each component must already exist as an independent unitary product in SATN before you can add it to a combo.
Only unitary products can be added to a combo. Mix products and other combo products are not available as combo components. If you need to bundle a multi-component recipe, first create the recipe as a unitary product with its full ingredient list, then add it to the combo.

How nutritional values are calculated

When you save a combo product, SATN averages the nutritional values from each selected unitary product’s existing nutritional table. The averaged values are expressed per 100 g and per the declared serving size of the combo. This means the final table reflects the nutritional contribution of the combined product as a whole, not any individual component. Because the combo’s nutritional table depends on the tables of its component products, you should ensure all component unitary products have accurate and up-to-date nutritional tables before creating or editing a combo.

Creating a combo product

1

Open the creation form

In the top navigation, click Products, then click New combo product.
2

Enter customer information

Select the customer type and fill in their contact details:
  • Natural person — document number (required), first name, last name, email, and phone number.
  • Company — NIT (required), company name, email, and phone number.
3

Enter product details

Fill in the combo-specific product fields:
FieldDescription
Product nameMust be unique across all product types in SATN.
Commercial presentationPackaging description, for example Assorted 3-pack or Gift box 4 units.
Serving size (g)Declared serving size in grams used for per-serving nutritional calculations.
Unit of measurementSolid for food bundles, Liquid/Beverage for beverage packs.
Combo products do not have a Total amount field. The total weight of the combo is derived automatically from the component unitary products you select.
4

Select component products

Scroll to the Products section. Use the selector to search for and add existing unitary products:
  1. Click Add product.
  2. Search for the unitary product by name and select it.
  3. Repeat for each product you want to include in the combo.
You must add at least one unitary product before the combo can be saved.
If a product you want to include does not appear in the search results, it either does not exist yet or it was created as a mix or combo product. Create it as a unitary product first, then return to this form.
5

Save the product

Click Save product. SATN validates the form, confirms the product name is unique, and checks that at least one unitary product has been selected. If validation passes, the combo is saved and the averaged nutritional table is generated immediately. You are redirected to the product list where the new combo product appears in your results.

After saving

Once saved, the combo product has its own nutritional table that you can review, export to Excel, or include in a Word report. The table is calculated at the time of saving. If you later update one of the component unitary products, you will need to edit and re-save the combo product to refresh its nutritional table with the updated values.
Deleting a combo product permanently removes its nutritional table. The component unitary products are not affected and remain in SATN unchanged.
