How to find, edit, and delete products in your account

Learn how to find, edit, and delete products in SATN, including how edits trigger nutritional table recalculation and what happens when a product is deleted.

SATN keeps all your products in a searchable, paginated list. From this list you can locate any product, open its edit form to update its details or ingredients, and delete products you no longer need. Any time you save changes to a product, SATN automatically recalculates the associated nutritional table.

Finding a product

Navigate to Products using the top navigation menu. The product list displays all products in your account, paginated at 50 entries per page.

Use the search field at the top of the list to filter results. You can search by any of the following:

• Product name — full or partial name of the product.
• Customer name — first and last name of a natural person customer.
• Document number — the document number of a natural person.
• NIT — the tax identification number of a company customer.

Search results update as you type. If no results appear, verify the spelling or try a different search term.

Editing a product

1. Locate the product

   From the product list, find the product you want to edit using the search field or by scrolling through the paginated list.

2. Open the edit form

   Click the Edit button on the product row. SATN automatically redirects you to the correct edit form for the product type — unitary, mix, or combo.

3. Make your changes

   Update any fields you need to change: customer details, product name, presentation, serving size, total amount, unit of measurement, significant water settings, or ingredients (for unitary and mix products) and component products (for combo products).

   For mix products, you can rename components, add or remove ingredients within a component, and add or remove entire components. For combo products, you can add or remove component unitary products from the selection.

4. Save the changes

   Click Save product. SATN validates all fields and, if they pass, saves the changes and immediately recalculates the nutritional table using the updated product data.

   If SATN detects that none of the submitted values differ from the currently saved product, it displays a warning indicating that no changes were detected. The nutritional table is not recalculated in this case. Review your edits to confirm the intended changes were actually modified before saving again.

What triggers recalculation

Every successful save that includes at least one changed field triggers an automatic recalculation of the nutritional table. This includes changes to:

• Ingredient selection or quantities (unitary and mix products)
• Component product selection (combo products)
• Serving size or total amount
• Unit of measurement
• Significant water parameters

Changes to customer details, product name, or commercial presentation do not affect the nutritional calculation but are still saved to the product record.

Deleting a product

Deleting a product is permanent and cannot be undone. When a product is deleted, its associated nutritional table is also deleted immediately. Export any reports or tables you need before proceeding.

To delete a product:

1. Locate the product in the Products list.
2. Click the Delete button on the product row.
3. Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog.

The product record and its nutritional table are removed from the system immediately.

Deleting a unitary product that is used as a component in one or more combo products will affect those combos. The combo product will remain in the system but its nutritional table may no longer be accurate. Review and re-save any combo products that referenced the deleted unitary product.
